(Un)Masked

All throughout time, and within cultures around the world, we see mask making.  Masks are worn for protection, or as a way to embody another persona. We can disguise and hide behind them, or more easily reveal who we are.  They are used in ceremony, in theater, and for practical use. They can represent entities and forces of nature. They help us to channel intents and ways of being.

(Un)Masked is an Arts-Based Gathering that invites participants to explore the timeless craft of mask-making as a portal to embodiment, self-inquiry, and creative revelation. Together, in the loving support of a community setting, we’ll engage meditative practices, art-making, and enactment to presence and enliven the many facets of identity—what we conceal, what we reveal, and all that lives in between.

Through this shared process, we will compassionately witness one another and the stories our masks carry, opening space for expanded self-awareness, authentic expression, and connection.
